Q. Do I need to have a specific level of yoga or fitness to participate?
A. Absolutely not. Jane is an experienced yoga instructor and teacher trainer. She will provide modifications for all abilities, and our excursions into nature can be enjoyed by all fitness levels.
Q. What sort of food will be served?
A. We will be serving primarily vegetarian meals, all prepared from fresh local ingredients. However, we are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements. You will be asked about any food allergies and/or preferences at the time of your final payment.
Drinking water is always available, and a variety of teas and coffee will be available for you to prepare at all times.
Q. Do I need to participate in all of the activities?
A. This is your retreat, and while you are not required to participate in all of the activities, we do encourage you to do so in order to get the most out of your time here. Every afternoon, you’ll have a few hours of private, downtime so that you can have time for yourself.
Q. What should I pack for this retreat?
A. Huatulco is a tropical paradise. Break out your lightweight, summer favorites for this retreat! We’ll have daily meditation time and yoga classes, so come prepared with comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. Sandals and flip-flops are perfect for everyday use and throw in a pair of trainers or water shoes for our outdoor excursions. You’ll also want a bathing suit and a cover-up to enjoy the pool and the beach! Depending on where you’re coming from, you may want to throw in one long-sleeved shirt, hoodie, or sweater for early-morning meditations and late-night star gazing.
Y oga mats and props will be provided, however, if you wish to bring your own for any reason, you’re welcome to. We recommend you bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated. And you’re going to want sunscreen too!
Q. Can I get a private room?
A. Yes, we do have private rooms available. They are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and there is an additional cost. Contact Jane at – [email protected] for details.
Q. Where’s the nearest airport?
A. We recommend you fly into Huatulco’s international airport (airport code HUX) that’s just 25 minutes from the retreat villa. Huatulco has direct flights from select Canadian and American cities, and there are several flights a day that arrive from Mexico City for easy, convenient connections.
Q. Is transport from the airport included?
A. No, transport is not included, however, we will provide detailed instructions to make getting to the retreat location simple and easy.
Q. When should I plan to arrive and when should I plan to leave?
A. You may check in to your room at any time between 3:00-5:00 PM on Monday and the retreat will end on Saturday at 11:00AM.
Q. Can I arrive early and/or stay after the retreat ends?
A. The retreat space is booked only for the 5 nights of the retreat. We are happy to provide you with recommendations for accommodations if you plan to arrive early or stay beyond the retreat.
Q. Is there wifi?
A. Yes, wifi is available. However, this is a space for you to relax and recharge, so we will encourage a little digital detox during your stay. We invite you to spend more time taking in the sweeping ocean views and less time swiping on your device.
Q. Should I purchase travel insurance?
A. A retreat is an investment in your well-being, as well as a financial investment. No one books a retreat with the intention of canceling, but unexpected life events do occur. We highly recommend purchasing your own travel/trip cancellation insurance so your trip fees will be covered in case you have to cancel your retreat.
Trip insurance should also be purchased to cover medical expenses in the event you should require medical attention while in Mexico. Most airlines have the option to add trip insurance to your airfare when you book your flights, and you can ask your credit card company about trip insurance, as well.
Q. What is the Cancelation Policy?
A. A $300 deposit is required to secure your spot at the retreat. This deposit is non-refundable. The remainder of your balance is due two weeks before the start of the retreat. Because of the cost incurred to secure the accommodations, food, and excursions, we do not offer refunds if you cancel within two weeks of the retreat date.
Q. How do I secure my spot?

An invoice for the remainder of the balance will be sent 3 weeks before the retreat with payment due 2 weeks prior to the event.
